Pol animosity is never eternal, here comes the Third Front!

Labels:
It's a season of foe turning friends as yesterday's enemies have now become pals and sharing a rapport to gain political mileage for their respective gains.

Suddenly they have come under the same umbrella to beat the heat of political atmosphere and want to cash in on the political jamboree.

A Third Front is coming to register its existence. Whether it will pose a big threat to Congress or BJP both in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, it's a far distant reality.

Though, BJP and Congress have crossed swords against each other in the next general elections, they can not ignore the presence of Third Front.

It is obvious that regional parties will play a crucial role in the formation of next government at the Centre. In these circumstances, the Third Front is looking much stronger to United Progressive Alliance (UPA) and National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

The list of prominent leaders in Third front include TRS chief T Chandrashekhar Rao, AIADMK chief Jayalalithhaa, Beeju Janata Dal's (BJD) chief Navin Patnaik, Telagu Desham Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu and CPM general secretary Prakash Karat, Sitaram Yechury and CPI general secretary AB Vardhan.

Most likely Bahujan Samaj Party and Nationalist Congress Party are in touch with Third Front.

BSP representative Satish Chandra Mishra had also attended the launch ceremony of the Third Front.

Of them, BSP supremo has formed her government in Uttar Pradesh independently. This proves that she has strong base in Uttar Pradesh, where her social engineering has been a hit during assembly elections.

BJD's Naveen Patnaik is heading government in Orissa. He has enormous influence amongst the voters in his state. Maratha satrap Pawar knows well how to turn votes into his account. Jayalallitha is popular in Tamil Nadu.

Chadrababu Naidu's TDP can change political equations in Andhra Pradesh. On the other hand, West Bengal is bastion of CPI and CPM. All these are experienced players of politics. They will leave no stone unturned to hurt the Congress and the BJP.

Candidates from these regional parties in their respective states already have strong base of voters. Besides, it can't be ignored that third front will cut into the votes of the BJP and the Congress. And if third front is formed and these leaders remain united till upcoming LS polls, the front will play a major role in government's formation.

However, it will be decided on May 16 that who will be anointed at Centre but at present Third Front is giving sleepless nights to Congress and BJP with pre poll alliances.
