Bangalore, Apr 3 : The process of filing of nomination papers for the April 30 second phase of Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka began today with the Election Commission issuing the notification.
Eleven of the total 28 constituencies will go for polls in the second phase, official sources said.
The last date for filing of nomination is April 9 and withdrawal is April 13. The scrutiny of papers is on April 11.
An estimated 1.52 crore electorate is involved in the second phase in the constituencies of Bagalkot, Haveri, Dharwad, Davanagere, Shimoga, Udupi-Chikmagalur, Hassan, Dakshina Kannada, Mandya, Mysore and Chamarajanagar (SC).
In the first phase, polling will be held on April 23 on 17 constituencies.
