Guwahati , Mar 23 Election Commissioner Navin Chawla today reviewed electoral arrangements and security scenario in Assam with senior officials here before Lok Sabha polls.
He came on a two-day visit and met Deputy Commissioners, Superintendents of police of the districts and representatives of political parties, including Congress, AGP and BJP.
AGP submitted a memorandum to Chawla alleging violation of model code of conduct by Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi by accepting money from the tea companies in Kolkata.
He was also scheduled to meet Director General of Police G M Srivastava and Home Commissioner Rajiv Bora to discuss the law and order situation and issues relating to deployment of extra security forces in the state during Lok Sabha polls.
Chawla was also scheduled to meet Governor S C Mathur.
