Patna, March 25 Bahujan Samaj Party’s (BJP) Lok Sabha candidate Arjun Ravidas was Wednesday arrested in connection with the killing of 10 policemen in Bihar’s Nawada district last month.
Ravidas, the BSP’s candidate in the Jamui Lok Sabha seat, was arrested when he reached the district administration office to collect nomination forms, said an official.
Three suspected Maoist rebels had been arrested in connection with the incident on Feb 9.
According to police, over 100 armed Maoists ambushed an 18-member police party in Nawada. Ten policemen were killed in the attack during which the Maoists looted 11 guns.
