AICC observer visits Nagaland

All India Congress Committee (AICC) Observer from Delhi, Devanand Konwar, ex-minister of Assam on Monday paid official visit Nagaland to see the extent of Congress Party activities in the State. Interacting with a section of media persons, the AICC Observer said he had been deputed as Observer by AICC for ensuing Lok Sabha election, which is likely to be held in the month of April-May this year.

Stating that he had come for the first time after K. V. Pusa was appointed as new President of Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) in August last year, he said, "I do not expect miracles to happen within five months of the new President, but I have come to see the extent of Party activities in all 11 District Congress Committees (DCC) and 60 Assembly Constituency Congress Committees (ACCCs)".

He expressed happiness that the activities had already undertaken full swing and that more activities would be undertaken in future for the Lok Sabha elections.

Lauding the new team of NPCC office bearers under the leadership of President, K. V. Pusa for visiting all DCCs and ACCCs, he said more concentrated efforts in preparation were on the anvil. He also wished the Congress Party in Nagaland every success inculcating the values and fruits of true democracy.

Earlier in the evening, the visiting AICC Observer also had brief meeting on the functioning of the Congress Party in Nagaland with the NPCC President, K. V. Pusa and other office bearers.
