Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, who
was scheduled to address a rally in Mizoram today has decided to cancel
his visit to the north-eastern state due to the ongoing Assembly
session. Rahul was scheduled to address an election rally at Mualpui locality in Aizawl.
He was also expected to address journalists at Lengpui airport near Aizawl.
Meanwhile Congress MP and Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari has decided to contest from Ludhiana, his current constituency.
Earlier, Tewari had said that he will not contest the elections due to bad health.
Manish represents Ludhiana constituency in the Lok Sabha.
Meanwhile Congress is saying that Manish Tewari had never refused to contest the elections.
