Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Monday said that she would like to see Rahul Gandhi in a bigger role. In an exclusive interview with CNN-IBN, Dikshit said, "He is playing a bigger role and he will come to it gradually.

Bhupendra Chaubey: At the Jaipur convention when Rahul Gandhi was anointed as Vice President of the Congress Party. You were one of the first person who went there and hugged him. You are almost like a mother. As a mother, do you believe he is the right person to lead the country. Sheila Dikshit: Absolutely

Bhupendra Chaubey: You believe he should be the prime ministerial candidate? Sheila Dikshit: I can't say that he would want to the prime minister. If his mother could refuse, I don't know. I would like to see him and i know a lot of young people would like to see him take a much bigger role. He is playing a bigger role and he will come to it gradually. Bhupendra Chaubey: But Manmohan Singh has gone record that he doesn't have a problem working under Rahul. Sheila Dikshit: He is your Prime Minister and Mine. He is the country's Prime Minister. Bhupendra Chaubey: Would Sheila Dikshit have a problem working under Rahul Gandhi? Sheila Dikshit: Why should i have a problem, if the people elect him and the party elect him, why should i have a problem.
