Let me tell you these six units are capable of Producing 48 BU of electricity – more than 2007 generation by all generators across Gujarat in 2007.

These need only a fraction of land acquired for 860 MW and more Solar of Solar Power that barely produces 1.5 BU of electricity annually and Gujarat has committed to buy this Solar Power @ Rs.15 per unit.

This is Rs.60,000 Crore SCAM – In Fact India was not required to invest much more than already invested on Solar Lame Duck Power had Gujarat and BJP supported Nuclear Power.

IT IS TRAGIC GUJARAT HAD PROMOTED 20,000 MW IMPORTED COAL BASED POWER – Requiring over 75 million tones of Imported Coal every year worth $12b to $15 every year.

JUST FEW MONTHS OF COAL IMPORTS SHALL PAY THE NET COST OF IMPORTING NUCLEAR REACTORS.

Fact is Gujarat has approved $4m to $5m per MW for Solar Power, much more Nuclear Power cost in any case and Nuclear Units of Fourth Generation operate at over 90% load factor for over 60 years and are million times safer than first generation reactors operated in most of the world.

Even more interesting almost 80% of the Project Cost will be Executed by Indian Companies like L&T and others.

THIS TOO SHALL BE FUNDED BY GOI ENTIRELY.

After 2-4 reactors are imported future generators shall be made in India.
