PATNA: The BJP has expressed serious concern over killing of 22 Biharis in different parts of Assam. BJP spokesman Syed Shahnawaz Hussain on Wednesday asked the Assam government to protect Biharis in Assam and asked AICC president Sonia Gandhi to intervene in the matter.

About developments in Maharashtra in the wake of Adarsh Housing Society controversy, the BJP spokesman said resignation of chief minister Ashok Chavan was not enough. He demanded a probe by the joint parliamentary committee into the scam.

The BJP spokesman predicted three-fourth majority to the NDA in the Bihar elections. About the Tuesday's night shooting of a police officer in Patna, he blamed the RJD. "RJD leaders are claiming that they are coming to power. This has encouraged the criminals," he said.

The BJP will continue its election campaign during the Chhath festival too. The convenor of the election campaign committee Radhamohan Singh will campaign in Buxar on November 12 and Brahmpur on November 13. Deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi will campaign in Goh, Obra, Sherghati, Gurua, Rafiganj, Sasaram, Brahmpur, Ramgarh, Chainpur, on November 11 to 13 and leader of the opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj in Buxar, Nokha, Sasaram and Chainpur on November 13.
