Pasighat (East Siang), April 3 : Rahul Gandhi today blamed the NDA’s and particularly the BJP’s “flip flop policies” and “weak mechanism” for terror taking roots in the country during its regime.
He also slammed the NDA for coming out with “anti-people and anti-poor” agenda, which he hoped the people would discard in the elections.
Rahul, who arrived in Pasighat after a whirlwind tour of Mizoram and Manipur, also made an appeal to the people of the Arunachal East and West constituencies to vote in favour of “the Congress-led UPA that can steer the country towards development in the real sense of the term”.
“The Opposition BJP almost made it a habit to create a hue and cry on terror and blast the Congress-led UPA government. I am sure this time also the electorate will discard the NDA,” Rahul said.
Rahul bade Agam Pe, a mark of respect for the 6,000-odd people present at Pasighat Gandhi Market ground amid loud cheers. Chief minister Dorjee Khandu, Rajya Sabha MP Mukut Mithi, Arunachal PCC president Nabam Tuki and Congress candidate from Arunachal East, Ninong Ering, were present at the rally.
