LUCKNOW, Apr 3 : A known Mayawati baiter, Indian Justice Party, on Thursday announced to contest from 80 Lok Sabha seats across the country, saying it will support secular parties like Congress and Samajwadi Party on the remaining seats.
"The party will contest in 80 seats in four states -- Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi. In UP we will contest from 23 seats," IJP's national president Udit Raj told reporters here.
"On the remaining seats, the IJP will support parties, which are committed for the cause of dalits, backwards and farmers, like Congress and SP. We can even support CPI and the third front," he said.
Raj said that he himself will contest election from Fatehpur parliamentary constituency in UP.
Criticising BSP supremo Mayawati, he said that her anti-dalit approach was evident from the fact that the party had not fielded even a single dalit candidate from a general seat.
"If reservation would have not been in place, Mayawati would not have fielded even a single dalit," he alleged.
