Om Puri recalled dancer Sarabhai family’s contribution to the society.
“Mallika can win because of her stature, because of her background. She comes from a very illustrious family. Her father Vikram Sarabhai was a great scientist. He had established great institutions in Ahmedabad. She has always raised her voice against injustice. She has always participated in social activities,” said Om Puri.
Meanwhile, another Bollywood actor Anupam Kher lent his support to the displaced Kashmiri Pandits.
Kher, who is a Kashmiri Pandit himself, said that the community should have more representation in the legislatures to make their voice heard.
“We should have at least four to five people in Kashmiri Vidhan Sabha as Kashmiri Pandit representatives. I will campaign for you. I will bring people from Bollywood to campaign for you. I will make sure that you win those seats,” said Kher.
