New Delhi: Subtly defending Varun Gandhi, Bhartiya Janshakti Party leader Uma Bharti said that Samajwadi Party has no right to comment on Varun Gandhi as its own candidates are not clean-profiled.Talking to the reporters, Uma Bharati said, ‘SP has no right to accuse Varun Gandhi as it is fielding candidates like Sanjay Dutt who has faced charges for association with under world.'
When asked to comment on BJP's stand on Varun Gandhi, the leader said, ‘I am not BJP's spokes person, hence I should not comment on it.' However, she was sure about his bright future. She said, ‘Varun Gandhi is young and energetic. He has all qualities to become a good leader but he should keep a check on his language.'
Uma Bharti was talking to the media persons after her meeting with BJP's PM in-waiting L K Advani.
Letting bygones be bygones, Uma Bharti reiterated her desire to see L K Advani on the post of country's Prime Minister.
‘I would be the happiest if I can contribute even one vote to make Advani Ji the Prime Minister of the country,' repeated Uma Bharti, who left BJP accusing L K Advani of partisan behaviour three years ago.
The leader denied of possibilities to join BJP again.
