NCP-Congress formula worked out; Hectic parleys on among parties

Mar 12 The NCP says it has arrived at a formula to resolve the issue of seat-sharing with its coalition partner Congress in Maharashtra for coming Lok Sabha polls. An agreement is likely to be in place in a day or two.

The CPI also announced its second list of ten candidates on Tuesday taking the total number of their candidates to 43.

Trinamool Congress has urged the Congress to finalize the seat sharing agreement in West Bengal soon. Hectic parleys are on for finalizing the seat sharing arrangement between Congress and Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh.

The opposition BJP is also busy in talks with its other NDA partners on the seat sharing. It has reached seat sharing agreement with Indian National Lok Dal, in Haryana and Rashtriya Lok Dal in Uttar Pradesh besides AGP in Assam. Talks are on with Akali Dal Badal in Punjab, Shiv Sena in Maharashtra and JDU in Bihar.
