Ranchi , Mar 25 The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is likely to release name of candidates in six states where the party has decided to contest the Lok Sabha elections.
The party, which is still locked in a dialogue with the Congress on seat sharing in Jharkhand, would contest five seats each in Assam and Chhatisgarh, eight in Maharastra, 11 in West Bengal, three in Orissa and six in Bihar, JMM Central Organisational secretary Suprio Bhattacharya said today.
"The list of names may be released tomorrow. We are also looking whether we can put up candidates in any other state down south," Bhattacharya told PTI here today.
In Assam, JMM will put up candidates at Tezpur, Jorhat, Kaliabore, Dibrugarh and Lakhipur, while the party has identified Gadchuruli, Chandrapur, Hinguli, Vardha, Amravati, Ramtek, Nagpur and Yothmahal in Maharastra.
In Orissa, the JMM will contest from Sundergarh, Mayurbhanj and Balasore, while it will put up candidates in Kishanganj, Katihar, Purnea, Begusarai, Banka and Jamui in Bihar, Bhattacharya said.
The party will field candidates in Chhatisgarh at Sarguja, Raigarh, Korba, Bastar and Kanke.
The JMM would contest from Alipurduar, Jalpaiguri, Balurghat, Hooghly, Ghatal, Jhargram, Midnapur, Purulia, Bankura, Bishnupur and Asansol in West Bengal, he added.
