Govinda was present before the collector on Friday after EC rejected his written explanation.
MP Govinda said, ‘I don't think I have done something I should regret. I have donated money for a good cause.'
Govinda repeated his earlier explanation and said, ‘I followed my family's age old tradition on the day of Holi. My neighbours and people who know me are ready to vouch for it.'
He said that he did not give money to his voters as the place was not his constituency.
