Ngashon (Churachandpur), February 9 : Obviously pleased with the work taken up by the SPF Government in building the Churachandpur-Behiang road as well as the timely construction of Ngashon bridge, Singnat MLA T Hangkhanpau who was elected on a NPP ticket and sits on the Opposition bench, called out to the Zou community to vote for the Congress this time, which was well received by the people.

The MLA made this startling announcement during the inaugural function Ngashon bridge at Behiang on February 7 .

The gathering which included village chiefs, community leaders and elders, responded in the affirmative when T Hangkhanpau urged them to vote for the Congress candidate in the forthcoming Lok Sabha election, in view of the developmental works taken up by the SPF Government for the hill people.

The people of Singnat ought to repay their gratitude to the Congress led Government, he exhorted, which took members from the media totally by surprise.

A prominent Zou leader, apart from being an MLA representing Singnat, Hangkhanpau said that the Congress led Government has done much for the people of the hills.

The gathering also expressed their deep gratitude to Works Minister K Ranjit and the Congress led SPF Government for their initiatives.
