IMPHAL, Dec 27 : The Manipur People`s Party (MPP) observed its 41st Foundation Day at its party office by hoisting the party flag today.

Speaking at the function, MLA RK Anand said the party was fully committed to the protection of the territorial integrity of Manipur and of ensuring the rights of the people of the state. He also said that the present government was indulging in acts more heinous than those committed by terrorists and added that the government was responsible for the lack of peace in the state.

O Joy who also spoke on the occasion said that the people of Tripura would have been better off if there had been a regional party in the state. He further added that MPP would strive for the betterment of the people of the state.

Party president, Dr. L Chandramani said in his speech that the strength of the party was the love of the people and appealed further for their support.
